If you are having trouble with frequent crashes, workouts ending early, or GPS in ZRX on a Samsung device, this may be due to Samsung's battery optimisation settings.
These settings can vary between phone models and versions of the Android OS, and because of this we cannot provide comprehensive instructions for every device.
The steps below cover the basics, but if you find yourself still struggling after trying them, we recommend checking out Don't Kill My App which should have the latest information.
- Go to Settings on your Huawei device
- Select Apps
- Tap Settings at the bottom of the screen
- Select Special Access
- Select Ignore Optimizations
- Select ZRX from the list and tap Allow
- Go to Phone Settings
- Go to Apps
- Select ZRX
- Tap on Battery
- Disable the Power-intensive prompt
- On the same page, switch Launch from Automatic to Manage Manually
- Enable all the Manage Manually options - these should include things such as 'Run in background'
On some Huawei phones, such as the P20 and Honor 9, the Manage Manually setting may be found by doing the following:
- Go to Phone Settings
- Go to Battery
- Tap on Launch/App Launch
- Switch on Manage Manually and enable all options for ZRX
For the Huawei P20 Pro, these settings may be found by doing the following:
- Go to Settings on your Huawei device
- Select Apps
- Select ZRX
- Tap on Power Usage Details
- Select App Launch
- Switch Launch from Automatic to Manage Manually
- Enable all the Manage Manually options - these should include things such as 'Run in background'
